We worked with Sophie Whitehouse-Knight, known to her followers as @sophieclarewhite_ and her family to create a smartly designed compact family bathroom that combines Roper Rhodes furniture with our design expertise and beautiful tiles to fit every essential while maintaining effortless style.
Designing for the needs of a growing family in a smaller space calls for a careful balance of practicality, comfort and lasting style. This project shows how thoughtful planning can transform a compact layout into a calm, highly functional bathroom that works seamlessly for everyday life.
For this family, a large bathtub for young children and essential wind-down time alongside a separate shower was a non-negotiable. Fitting both into the space while maintaining flow and functionality required a clever layout and the expertise of our design team.

All fittings and furniture were carefully selected from Roper Rhodes, with a focus on timeless design and lasting quality. Paired with heritage brassware, also from Roper Rhodes, the scheme leans into a classic aesthetic that feels both refined and enduring, ensuring the space not only looks considered today, but will continue to stand the test of time as the family grows.
Sophie visited our Sheffield showroom, where she met with our designer Emily, who took the time to understand exactly what the family needed from the space. Using her design expertise, alongside our 4D visualiser, Emily was able to bring the layout to life, allowing Sophie to not only see the design but truly experience how it would feel and function day to day.
Working closely together, they then selected the perfect finishes to complement the scheme. For the floor, a heritage-inspired chequerboard design from our Chess range was chosen to ground the space and introduce a timeless, classic feel.
The shower area was carefully defined using our Karamo Kit Kat tiles, adding texture and visual interest while subtly zoning the space.
Across the walls, Provence Cream a calming, stone-effect tile creates a soft, neutral backdrop. Its understated tone brings a sense of warmth and balance, forming a timeless foundation that will continue to feel relevant for years to come.
