Top Bathroom Trends for 2022

The new year is the perfect time for a fresh start – the ideal opportunity to breathe some fresh air back into your home. And where better to start than with your interiors? Bathrooms are often easily overlooked but, in reality, they are one of the most important rooms in your home. Think about it – everyone uses the bathroom on a daily basis so, why not transform it into a beautiful, calming getaway?

We’re taking a look at some of the bathroom trends that are set to dominate 2022. So, sit back and get ready to be inspired…

Green Schemes

Green has always been a go-to colour, over architectural periods and trends, thanks to its flexibility and long list of versatile shades and hues. According to recent data, 2022 trends are also incorporating green – whether as a canvas for other colours, or as a statement colour in accessories. There is a good reason for green’s popularity – it helps to bring us back to nature!

Why not introduce some green elegance with our Hoxton Collection? A multi-tonal, glossy tile which oozes style and sophistication. Pictured here in the shade ‘Green Park’, this tile adds a striking splash of colour and reflective light to your bathroom that works as well in a bright, well-lit area as it does in a darker and cosier space.

Statement Stones

Stone tiles are a sure-fire way to make your space feel luxurious – whether you opt for a neutral marble or something a little more adventurous. Stone finishes are able to make us feel calmer and closer to nature and can help to turn your bathroom into the perfect tranquil space for a soothing bubble bath.

We have introduced a number of statement stone tiles to our range over the last few months which are sure to make a real impact. Pictured here is our Treasure Stone tile in ‘Rose’, bringing a subtle injection of colour along with a striking texture. Treasure Stone takes inspiration from hidden gemstones with its multi-faceted aspect.

Another great option to introduce some ‘statement stone’ to your bathroom is ‘Emerald City’ – a Wizard of Oz-inspired that will allow you to also incorporate a calming green tone!

Textured Tiles

Tiles can come in all sorts of colours, patterns, and textures – and abstract textures, like pictured here, are becoming increasingly popular. This is true in other aspects of the home, in addition to tiles and can be seen sneaking into the interiors world, including in furniture and fixtures – and it looks like this trend isn’t going anywhere fast!

You can see the appeal of the textured effect in the Naples tile which adds an interesting twist on an otherwise neutral scheme. The Naples tile exudes a timeless elegance and can be used to introduce a seamless architectural feature that is sure to attract some interest to your bathroom.

Terracotta Realness

Terracotta has been used as a material for floor tiles for thousands of years – and for good reason! The long history of terracotta tiles gives them a rustic and inviting aspect to any room, which can be used to great effect in your bathroom. Modern interpretations of terracotta tiles can be developed using porcelain and have added useful features, like anti-slip glazes.

That is exactly what we see in our stunning Terre Clay tiles. These terracotta effect tiles put a modern twist on the classic material with an elongated brick shape – ideal for tiling in a herringbone pattern. The PTV+36 rated anti-slip glaze also makes this tile perfect for bathroom floors!
