Spring Colour Trends 2020

The first couple of days of spring are some of the most invigorating days of the year. As we enter the first few weeks outside of winter, we begin to feel the warmer temperatures outside, see our gardens waking and we notice our living space more than ever, especially as the brighter mornings and lighter evenings shine through our windows.

One of the simplest and most striking ways to celebrate the change in season is through spring colours, here at The Yorkshire Tile Company we’ve rounded up some of the prettiest spring shades to help get you in the mood for the new season. You can use these colours to create a feature wall in a brand-new shade, use them for inspiration or even pick a shade from our list that you would love to include as part of your next tiling project.

If you are in need some of some spring colour ideas and advice, then why not have a look through some of the colours that we are excited about for spring 2020.

1. Pretty blush

Blush has a certain attraction during spring, it is pretty whilst still being classic due to its neutral tone. It is a great way to add subtle colour without going overboard and has been a hotly tipped hue by designers across the globe. It is ideal for a bedroom and will bring a calming and feminine allure to any space. Feel like it’s too sweet for your taste? Team with a darker grout or pair with a contrasting deep paint colour for universal appeal. You can create a blush theme in your living space with our Artist collection and Cotswold collection.

2. Sage green

Sage green is an airy shade and gives the impression of freshly cut grass on a spring day. It is a versatile shade that can be combined with white and beige tones to add warmth to your home. It is ideal for a bedroom, conservatory, kitchen or bathroom - anywhere where you want to bring the outdoors in. Sage green tiles are guaranteed to bring an organic and fresh appeal to your abode. We love Bloomsbury Sage and the Craft collection for recreating this look in your home.

3. Bright Blue

Bright blue has been chosen as a 2020 favourite from the master of colour charts Pantone, so you know it’s a winning hue, in fact we think you’ll see this versatile shade everywhere. Bright blue is an incredibly adaptable colour giving light décor schemes some depth whilst brightening up a dark room when using the more electric blue tones. Bright blue looks great paired with rich velvet accents like sofas and scatter cushions and is perfect teamed with emerald green too. Coral is lively choice and will give a bold colour injection to your living space. For something subtler take a look at our Lava collection which will add a muted, natural coral tone to your home.

5. Camel

Another trend for spring 2020, is the light shades of camel. Camel, taupe and soft white are all set to be popular this spring and if the brighter tones aren’t for you then these new neutrals are the perfect shades to take your home through to the winter months of 2020. We think camel looks beautiful when paired with earthy wood effect tiles.
