Here at Yorkshire Tile Company, we love to see all the fantastic ways in which our customers choose to use our products – whether that be for a kitchen floor and splashback refresh or a complete bathroom renovation. So, we were delighted to see how one of our customers, Roxanne (@ourgreyhaven), used our Terrazzo Albert Ivory, Mass Blanco and Stratford AG tiles to transform her bathroom into an Italian-inspired sanctuary.
Terrazzo, with it’s versatile mix of beautiful materials, has seen a massive resurgence in recent years as we continue to take inspiration from the simple, yet effective, architectural techniques from renaissance Italy. The material dates back over 500 years to 15th century Venice, where workers used the leftover, oddly shaped marble mixed with fresh clay to create strong and adaptable floor surfaces.
With this wealth of history and culture in mind, we are proud to say that our porcelain Terrazzo Albert range is one of the most authentic Italian terrazzo replicas on the market. These beautiful tiles were brought to life in Roxanne’s stunning bathroom renovation.
Roxanne used our Terrazzo Albert tiles in Ivory to surround her beautifully sleek freestanding bathtub, extending the surface into a striking splashback and countertop to a bespoke plywood vanity unit. The combination gives this tile of traditional roots a modern twist.
Roxanne wanted to give the bathtub its own distinct zone in the bathroom. This was achieved by contrasting the striking terrazzo finish with the more subtle concrete and stony surface of our Stratford tiles. For the wall above Roxanne’s terrazzo Albert splashback, glossy Mass tiles in Blanco add a clean and contemporary contrast to matt black mixer taps.
We’re sure that you’re as mad about Roxanne’s stunning bathroom tiles as we are and are eager to get stuck into your own transformation. Well, we have good news! Roxanne has been kind enough to put together some of her Top Picks from our extensive range of tiles – see them below!
Our Cabrera collection is inspired by patterns found in traditional North African ceramics. The Cabrera Farissi tile offers eye-catching monochrome pattern combined with a charming hand-crafted effect to give a traditional, homely feel to any space.
Other tiles in the Cabrera range emit tones of cerulean and sage, allowing you to create your own colour combinations and patterns to complement your project.
Roxanne’s second pick is our stunning Sequence Opal mosaic tiles. This stunning linear design has a stunning opalescent glaze which reflects light beautifully in any space. Perfect for a bathroom or kitchen splashback, small downstairs loo, or recess, the Sequence Opal offers a neutral, yet striking effect.
However, if you’re looking for a more colourful finish, look no further than the other tiles in our Sequence range! These versatile mosaic tiles are also available in Storm, Seafoam, Ocean, Mint, and Ash.
Last but not least, Roxanne has chosen our Art Diamond tiles as her third and final pick! This stunning tile can add an art deco edge to any room in your home, from entrance halls and downstairs toilets to kitchens and living areas! These tiles are suitable for both walls and floors, making their geometric design a truly versatile addition to your home.
The Art range is made up of six colourways which can be used alone for a uniform finish or combined with as many variations as you like!
