We’re sure you’ll agree that the kitchen is the heart of the home. In addition to being necessary for the preparation of food, it is also increasingly becoming a social space: a place where family and friends gather to socialise, eat, drink and of course, cook.

Beautiful tiles come in all shapes and sizes, from retro square and metro tiles to more traditional Victorian mosaics and patterned encaustic styles. With so much choice, it can be difficult to decide exactly which tile is right for your project. Over the last year and a half, home improvements and renovations have become a massive consideration for a record number of people as tourism and much of the leisure sector has been intermittently off limits to most of us. Another year has come to an end which can mean only one thing, Pantone has finally announced what it thinks will be the colour to represent the year ahead! After such a tough year, we are delighted to see that Pantone has selected a bright and uplifting tone as its 2021 Colour of the Year - PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating.

This sunny, feel-good colour has been matched with the more grounding PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray to make for a contrasting palette to embody 2021’s upcoming trends. These two colours demonstrate perfectly how two strikingly different hues can come together to enhance one another and create a simultaneous feeling of solidity and optimism.
