While things might be finally starting to get back to normal following over a year of lockdowns and social restrictions, the ongoing coronavirus epidemic is sure to impact on the way we live even after this chapter is over – particularly when it comes to keeping our own homes as clean as possible. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Lulworth range, our first ever antibacterial tile collection.

It is officially Spring, and this April, we have a few things to celebrate. For starters, we are elated that we are once again able to welcome customers into our showrooms – we’ve missed you! And to make things even better, we can now showcase several new collections that have been added to our extensive range of tiles in our tile store !

We’re always delighted when we can extend our tile range and offer our customers the very best of the products available on the market. So, let’s take a look at the latest additions to the Yorkshire Tile Company.

We’re so excited to announce that all our showrooms will be reopening on Monday 12th April.

The new openings hours at our Sheffield tile store will be as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7.30am – 4.30pm
Wednesday: 7.30am – 6.30pm
Saturday: 9am – 3pm

Over the last few months, there have been some seriously impressive DIY projects posted across social media. It is amazing to see how creative people can be when they have a little extra time to play with; we’ve seen everything from garden furniture made from pallets, to one of our favourites outdoor bars that ‘pop up’ in your own home to enjoy whilst the pubs were closed.

The last few months have highlighted the importance of thoroughly cleaning our house and keeping it germ-free. Especially as life begins to shift back to normality and we are allowed people from other households in our home and gardens.

COVID-19 has made safety everyone’s number one priority, so it is important that you know how to disinfect and clean your tiles, what cleaning products you should be using, and how often you should be doing it. Cleaning your tiles, while it is not always a fun task, will prolong the quality of your wall and floor tiles whilst keeping them looking brand-new and gleaming!

Last weekend we celebrated the greatness of the UK’s largest county, Yorkshire. People living in Yorkshire are incredibly fortunate to be able to experience many benefits, from residing in one of the most stunning parts of Britain to being amongst the friendliest of folk.

Anyone who has visited our Sheffield showroom will have spotted our fun and beautifully crafted mosaic spelling out some lyrics from the most famous bands to hail from this part of the world (bonus points if you can name the band and the song!).

If you are wondering how you can recreate a similar message, maybe with lyrics from your favourite song, or a message/phrase that has a special meaning for you, wonder no more because we will walk you through it. You don’t have to be an artistic genius to create your own mosaic, you just need some spare time and the following materials once you have chosen the area you want to add the mosaic to.
