Undertile Heating from Only £83.41 inc.VAT
Principles of Undertile Heating
Did you know that undertile heating isn't just for warming your tiled floor...it actually warms the whole room and can be used as a primary heating source!
That's right, this method of heating is a modern, reliable and efficient way of heating rooms such as bathrooms, kitchens and conservatories. It can be used as a primary heating source, or used in conjunction with conventional heating such as wall mounted radiators.
As undertile heating is installed at floor level (see bottom of page for installation instructions), you get a uniform distribution of heat where it is needed. This can't be said for conventional heating. Please refer to the illustrations in the main image above.
Benefits of Undertile Heating
 |
Low running costs - approx 3-5p per square metre, per day (based on 8 hr day). |
 |
More reliable and efficient compared to conventional central heating systems. |
 |
Uniform heat where it is needed, distributed
across the whole floor. |
 |
Provides comfortable warm floors for walking on. |
 |
Eliminates need for wall hung radiators giving
you more wall space. |
 |
Safer
environment as there are no high temperature
surfaces (unlike radiators). |
 |
Ideal
for allergy sufferers due to gentle air
circulation reducing airbourne dust. |

Simple Step-by-Step Installation
Most of the installation can be carried out yourself or a tiler, however,
connection to the main power supply MUST be carried out by a
qualified electrician.
Please note that all products are packaged complete with
instructions.
 |
Step 1
Measure the room and draw a sketch to help you calculate
which size matting you will need. Next, sketch in the
position of the undertile heating cable mat.
|
 |
Step 2
Mark the positioning of the toilet before you remove it.
This helps you avoid placing the toilet on top of the mat -
and prevents you from piercing it with screws. |
 |
Step 3
Cut a channel approx.10mm deep & wide in the wall from the
thermostat & about 1m out into floor. Glue flex pipe for the
sensor into channel, & seal end of the pipe with piece of
tape. |
 |
Step 4
Clean the floor thoroughly, removing all dirt and soap
residue, then lay out the self-adhesive cable mat. The floor
surface must be primed if you are not laying the mat on
existing tiles. |
 |
Step 5
Clip through the grey netting to turn the mat over - but
make sure that you do not cut through the cable! |
 |
Step 6
Turn the mat and position it as required. The self-adhesive
effect can withstand several adjustments, so you can move the
mat several times until you are satisfied with the result. |
 |
Step 7
Once you have positioned the cable mat, you can - depending
on the new floor surface - encapsulate it using self
levelling screed or cover it with a thin layer of tile
adhesive. |
