We couldn’t be happier about the return of The Great British Bake Off to our screens, isn’t there just something inherently British about sitting down with a cup of tea and a biscuit, or if you’re anything like us with a huge door stopper wedge of cake to watch Mary Berry and co put the new gaggle of amateur bakers to the test? In celebration of its return, we decided to pen a blog post of ways to make your kitchen Bake Off ready. (Get the look with Bevelled White and Reflection mosaic) Invest in a Kitchen Aid Bake Off wouldn’t be the show we know and love aesthetics wise without the champion of mixers, the Kitchen Aid. Not only is this a showstopping piece of equipment but it’s also a real essential for recreating that Bake Off look at home, especially if you’re into your kitchen gadgets. We love how the Kitchen Aid can be used to do everything from making ice cream to mashing potatoes and of course mixing cakes so when you think of it like that the cost per use will be tiny. One of our favourite ranges for adding a true pop of colour to the splash back area is Cento. We love how this beautifully glazed vivid tile makes a change from the usual bevel and how you can blend the colours together in a tonal fashion, go for just one shade to make a statement or create a textural look by adding in the Cento Cacao decors (inspired by pieces of chocolate) into the mix too. (Get the look with Cento SF and Cento matte SF) Add those all important accessories They say the devil is in the detail and it sure is when it comes to Bake Off, it’s also an incredibly affordable way to add a bit of baking magic to your kitchen. We love the thought of replacing our tired rolling pins for something a bit snazzier like this patterned option from Anthropologie and these super cute bun cases and unicorn flags would definitely make a fun addition to any Bake Off gathering. Our favourite accessory of all though has to be the cake stand and when it’s a DIY it’s even better, have a go at making your own here.
