Posted: 18th June 2007
The YTC sponsored a local charity football event in Sheffield,
organised by Speaking Up For Action (SUFA) to raise money to help give
self-advocacy to people with learning disabilities.

1st Class Mails Football Team
The event was held at the Sheffield United academy training ground on
17th June 2007. A charity football game between 1st Class Mails (a team
from the Royal Mail) and SUFA All Stars (a team of ex-professional
footballers from the local region) took place on the day with the game
ending in a 2-0 win to the SUFA All Stars.
The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress also made an appearance to present
the "Stanley Shield" to the winning team.

On the day, there were many other activities for the visiting public,
friends, and family including face painting, penalty shoot out
competition, raffle draw, bouncy castle, and more. The day was a huge
success for SUFA, helping them to raise over £1000 to help their cause.
