Mount Everest Base Camp Trek Raises £5000
YTC Managing Director, Stefan Firth, has raised £5000 for Sheffield Association for Cerebral Palsy (SACP) by taking part in a 12 day trek in the Himalayas from Lukla to the Mount Everest Base Camp.
Stefan did the trek with Nick Hope of Daismill Ceramics, which started on 18th November 2005 and ended 12 days later on the 29th.

Together they battled icy cold temperatures, rough terrain and low oxygen levels whilst climbing to Kalapattar at an altitude of 5550m, before making the trek back to where they originally started in Lukla.
Use the link below for a day-by-day account, written by Stefan, of the 12 day trek and the events that unfolded. You can also see some of the amazing pictures taken along the way.
