YTC Charity Pool Tournament Raises £1000

YTC took part in this year's 2008 'Master Cutler's Challenge' by having a knock-out pool competition amongst staff and customers. YTC managed to raise £1000 which contributed to the £200,000 raised overall and donated to St. Luke's & Rotherham hospices.

All local companies participating in the fund raiser were given a small sum of money to set up a fund raising event, with a view to turning this into as much money as possible. YTC used this money to hire out pool tables at the Common Room in Sheffield, where a large scale pool tournament was held.

YTC staff and customers turned up in large numbers to support the event, with each person paying a minimum £5 donation to the charity. Additional donations were also given by customers prior to the event.

The pool tournament was won by Keith Marsh of Fluid Bathrooms, beating YTC staff member - James Hutchinson - in the final.
