Jeans for Genes - October 2005

The Yorkshire Tile Company have raised £100 for children with genetic disorders. The National appeal - Jeans for Genes - asked schools and companies nationwide to ditch their regular uniform for Jeans, in exchange for a donation to the cause. The fund-raiser took place on 7th October 2005.

Jeans for Genes is organised by four charities to raise funds for research into serious and life-threatening genetic disorders which currently affects thousands of children in the UK. The funds also help provide laboratory equipment and facilities, in addition to expert advice.

In the UK, one in every thirty-three babies is born with a genetic disorder.
