Tile Calculator - How Many Square Metres Do You Need?
It's not always straight forward to work out in square metres how many tiles you require, so we have made life easier by bringing you a free tile calculator to help you determine the approximate area that you require tiling for your particular project.
At The Yorkshire Tile Company, we price our tiles 'per Sq Mtr' (and per tile), therefore this calculator will help you convert your measurements into square metres to make purchasing tiles much easier. You can even create a printable version of your measurements and bring them instore with you!

How to use the tile calculator

1.

Measure each wall and record the measurements. Enter the measurements for each wall (or floor) into Area 1, Area 2, etc.

Measure any 'obstacles' such as doors and windows where tiles will not be required. The area of these obstacles will be subtracted from your total area. Enter these measurements into Obstacle 1, Obstacle 2, etc. You can rename these (i.e. door) for your own reference.

Your total square metres will be automatically calculated at the end!
